Q: Which apps does it work in?

Mail, Slack, Notes, Messages, most browsers and many other apps on your Mac or PC. A few apps don't share their text with other apps, so they can't be checked. There, select the text and press ⌃⇧H to proofread it.

Q: Does it work on Windows?

Yes. It works the same on Windows as on a Mac.

Q: Does Edyt store what I type?

No. It checks each sentence once you finish it, over an encrypted connection, and keeps none of it after the check.

Hover an underline

A card shows the fix, with Rewrite, Alternatives, Shorter and Sound Natural for the whole sentence.

Click the fix

It goes in place. Each sentence is checked once you finish it.

Make it yours.

Proofread

Open Edyt and pick Proofread in the sidebar.

Proofread as you type: Turns checking on or off. It checks finished sentences and suggests better wording with Edyt AI.
Buttons in the card: Pick up to six actions for the card, including your own prompts. Rewrite, Alternatives, Shorter and Sound Natural by default.
Turn off checking: Also right in the card, whenever you want it quiet.
