This is an automatic renewal clause. In plain terms:

• It renews by itself. When the first 12 months end, the lease rolls into another 12 months at the current rent.
• 60 days' written notice is the only way out. Either side has to tell the other, in writing, at least 60 days before the term ends.
• Email only counts if they confirm they received it, in writing.

Miss that window and you are in for another year.

Yes, as long as your written notice reaches the landlord at least 60 days before the current term ends. If the term ends March 31, it has to arrive by January 30. If you send it by email, ask them to confirm receipt in writing, or it does not count.
